Pronghorn Archery Club

Range Rules December 1, 2010

            1. Participation in the club facilities is for club members and their guests only. A membership consists of the member, a spouse and legal dependent 18 years of age and younger. Minimum age of a primary member is 18 years.
            2. Ranges are open from ˝ hour before sunrise until ˝ hour after sunset except for organized shoots sanctioned by the club.
            3. Guests using club facilities must be accompanied by a member. Guests must sign in, purchase a day pass and abide by day pass rules. See posted rules for exemptions and penalties for failure to purchase.
            4. Non-members may participate in events where a fee is charged without purchasing a day pass.
            5. No person under the age of 18 years will be permitted upon any range, unless accompanied by an adult member who will assume responsibility for his conduct and safety.
            6. A MEMBERSHIP CARD or DAY PASS must be in YOUR POSSESSION at all times when using club ranges and WILL BE SHOWN to any director, any member or range officer upon request.
            7. Members are expected to open and close gate (LOCKED) at all times. Access keys are the responsibility of the person to whom issued and cannot be TRANSFERRED or LOANED.
            8. There will be no indiscriminate shooting of target supports, birds, animals, rocks, signs, trash barrels, range benches, etc.
            9. A range officer has complete authority at all times governing action on any range. ANY CLUB MEMBER may act as a RANGE OFFICER to call attention to an UNSAFE CONDITION OR VIOLATION AND REPORT such conditions or acts to the Board of Directors.

            10. Persons using the club facilities will drive at a safe speed not to exceed 10 mph and only on established roads. No unauthorized vehicles are permitted on the ranges.
            11. All archers will stop shooting and lay down all bows: (a) on command of the range officer, (b) when anyone on the shooting line calls "stop shooting", (c) when anyone is down range checking or changing targets.
            12. No one is to cross lane (shooting), i.e. at any target not in line with your position.
            13. No guns of any type may be taken on or used on the archery ranges. Firearms are prohibited.
            14. NO HUNTING on the range.

            15. NO PARKING ON THE ROAD. All parking will be done in the parking areas. 

            16. Range closure markers or signs will be honored when displayed, such as “range closed for repair”.
            17. Under no circumstances will alcoholic beverages of any kind be allowed upon any of the ranges. No one will enter upon a range if they have consumed alcoholic beverages.
            18. Unauthorized fires are prohibited. Do NOT remove any fire wood from the range. No fireworks are permitted. No smoking is allowed on the range except in enclosed personal vehicles.
            19. There will be no unauthorized cutting of trees or shrubs.
            20. Littering on the club grounds is prohibited. Shooters will dispose of used targets, and spent arrows when finished shooting.
            21. Unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment, verbal abuse or other threatening

actions toward any club member or guest will not be tolerated. Such actions should be reported to the Board of Directors detailing the time and place of the infraction, persons involved, witnesses, actions leading up to the infraction and suggestions for a remedy to the situation. Be courteous archers.

     22. Any violation of PAC rules may call for disciplinary action by the Board of Directors and may include: (a) a warning, (b) loss of privilege to use ranges, (c) revocation of membership in the PAC. If violation warrants, information will be turned over to county attorney or other authority for prosecution. Violations of the rules can result in criminal prosecution or loss of access privileges.


            24. Pronghorn Archery Club members are responsible for and are expected to assist in the maintenance of both the field range at Cam-Plex and the indoor target range at Rocky Mountain Sports when work parties are formed.

            25. Members should attend all club meetings.

            26. Members must cooperate with and assist club officers in planning club activities and implementing these activities.

            27. Members must assist in the promotion of archery and should conduct themselves according to the code of sportsmanship at all times.

            28. Members are required to observe all archery safety rules.  No blunts or broad-head arrows are allowed at either range.  They must see to it that guests and visitors on the range also observe these safety rules and practices.

            29. While bow-hunting, members are required to conduct themselves according to all state hunting regulations, cooperating with game officials, practicing conservation and, in general, bringing credit to the Pronghorn Archers.

I do hereby for and on behalf of myself, my heirs and legal representatives RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE the Pronghorn Archery Club (hereinafter referred to as “PAC”), and Campbell County its officers, directors, members, representatives, and volunteers, from any and all claims, demands and injuries, howsoever arising, whether caused by the negligent or intentional acts of PAC or any of it’s officers, directors, members, representatives, and volunteers, or by third parties, which injuries may be in any way related to my activities as a member of PAC and/or while on the premises of PAC, and all such claims are hereby WAIVED AND RELEASED, and I agree not to sue therefore. I acknowledge that my membership is contingent upon successful completion of the Range Safety Test.

                I further agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS PAC, its officers, directors, members, representatives and volunteers from any and all liability which may incur to myself or my family members, however arising and whether or not caused by the negligent or intentional acts of PAC, its officers, directors, members, representatives and volunteers.

I have read and understand the foregoing. (Must be completed by legal guardian if under 18 years old).
